Well, it's a nice tool to have in the old toolbox, that's for sure
Keep plugging away. I re-enabled and updated the plugin since I last tried, but as before the only way it works is if I don't use full screen exclusive. Which makes all my other video playback look pretty horrible. So, although it works (watched "The Darwin Awards" last night, worth every penny of 'free') I'm still just going to have to go back to dropping out and going to a browser to view WatchItNows. Sigh.

You could always use the plugin to download the movies and then just watch them in Media Player. That's basically what my brother in law does. That way he makes sure he gets the best quality stream.

He was joking and I knew it. I still added logic to the next release that will only allow him to download Disney films made before 1967. :p

As for the topics of this thread (API and starz):
The API is going to change things significantly. You can now download the entire Neflix database in a matter of minutes. I can easily add support for everyone to update their own lists. It will take a few days for me to figure out how to code the authentication and the data conversion.

Starz: You can now stream the Starz channel live from Netflix as well as download "On Demand" movies. I will be adding this as an option soon.

Yep, that's possible. It fails the spouse ease of use test

I wonder if (maybe with some help from sub?) it would be possible for plugins to change the playback mode on the fly? That would solve it - flipping out of the exclusive mode for playback in Netflix plugin, and then back to exclusive when playback ends, without needing to restart the recording service.
