Any images (photos or album art) I display in MLPanel on a widescreen TV via an MVP (running mvpmc 05-04-2008) are stretched horizontally.

I think I've got the MVP set up correctly since live TV aspect ratio behaviour is correct and Picture Library displays the same photos correctly.

MLPanel also displays images correctly on a widescreen laptop client.

Do I need to do some fiddling about in MLPanel when I'm building my render list, or have I just missed something in the MVP/Widescreen setup.

Have you tried changing back to the Hauppauge dongle to see if it still does it for you new 16:10 TV??

Well that at least rules out mvpmc.

I guess that only leaves the fact it's a 16:10 TV (I assume it's a 16:9 widescreen laptop?) or something not right with the way it's rendering on the MVP.

I'm guessing its something wrong with the way its rendering on the MVP, but I cant really remember some of the details of how it works there. When I've got a bit more time available I'll find (and dust off) my MVP and give it a try.

Old geezer finally got around to R'ing T F'ing M - there are about a million (well seven actually) aspect ratio options in the TV - and there is one which turns out to be a good compromise for photos and TV both. However, I'm still puzzled as to why I got photo stretching on the default (auto) setting.

I guess I need to try and figure out what parts of the system affect the aspect ratio and how it would be passed down to the actual TV. Any ideas or info welcome.

Or maybe I'm just too stupid to own a widesceen TV...:o
