The way you have it setup I don't think there is any added overhead with https.

I did go out to the Hauppage site and dug around a little......what you can try is to reduce your recording bitrate so that your upstream could handle it....from their site it appears it is user selectable.

Recording datarate: from 1 to 13.5 Mbits/sec (user selectable)

Have you tried that approach?

Build 80 has added higher bitrate streaming in HD-2k, HD-5k and HD-8k. You could try these and see if you stream appears better.

To change the recording quality for recording in GB-PVR from the HD-PVR, modify the values in the following file:
Code:
C:\Program Files\Devnz\GBPVR\AnalogHD.ini

Here are the defaults:

Code:
[SETUP-Main]
AudioInput=auto
;AudioInput=Audio Line In
;AudioInput=Audio SPDIFDigital In
;AudioInput=Audio AUX In

Bitrate1080i=9000000
BitratePeak1080i=13500000
BitrateMode1080i=VBR

Bitrate720p=9000000
BitratePeak720p=13500000
BitrateMode720p=VBR

Bitrate480i=3000000
BitratePeak480i=5000000
BitrateMode480i=VBR
