Is one NMT better than the others?

How can i use one of my millions of spare hauupauge remotes with the PCH does it add a number of steps to start up?

I was thinking about this the other day, the vast majority of messages in these forum get posted when things are not going right for users (most often something they have done wrong) & reading through them you would think GB, mvpmcx2 & most plugins were totally unstable & impossible to use BUT lots & lots of us no that is TOTALLY untrue!

I actually like helping people out, except for those rare few who figure they don't need to upload logs. I don't have the patience that sub does, but I can go through as many messages as it takes to get a solution. The dis-satisfaction comes from all the little things that people like to complain about. With the MVP it seemed people were willing to live with compromises with the PCH it seems that things have to be perfect.

I have always been surprised at how few actually include logs in the mvpmcx2 forums, I'm sure if more did you would would get them sorted out much faster

I would think of it more like "constructive criticism" & something to file away at the back of the brain to see if it (the brain) comes up with a solution one day......you & sub have already found a cure for heaps & heaps of them many more (& much faster) than I ever though you would.

With the MVP it seemed people were willing to live with compromises with the PCH it seems that things have to be perfect.

I'm not sure if that was because sub had built in support for it or because you have already fixed so many things that we never though you could for the NMT.

You could of course use Martins lirc tweak to use the MVP remote with it - except for the initial loading when the PCH is powered up and the PCH remote has to be used.

Martin, you are da man! That is awesome. It could not be more perfect for me because even though I am using the MVP my A-110 replaced elsewhere, I had previously bought a few Hauppauge remotes (bulk ebay auction) to replace the less functional unit that came with my Helius MVP.

Very cool, can't wait to try it out!
