WizImageGrabber Not Creating Placeholders

On my system, WizImageGrabber is not creating placeholders. When it runs, it displays the parameters and there it shows that the parameter is set to true. And I don't get any errors. When it finds new images, they do get created, just not placeholders. And it finds the existing placeholders and skips those during the lookups.

Any ideas/suggestions?

You'll probably have to post your log file, I'll take a look.

Here are the contents of the log file. They don't seem to show anything useful to me.

I tried to capture the output to the console window using the ">" redirect, but it doesn't seem to work. If you have a trick to get that info captured, let me know.

It shows that the create placeholder value is set to true.

Also, the placeholders that it does find (for skipping) are ones that were already in the directory when I copied the contents from my old 32-bit server to the new 64-bit server. As far as I can tell, it has never created new image placeholders on this server.

Ok, I think I've fixed this problem. Also you should now be able to redirect to a file when running from a console within a script.

This version fixed the problem with placeholders not being created. (The real problem.)

However, with it, nothing is written to any log files. The original log file (wizimagegrabber.exe.log) gets created, but is 0 bytes long. In the script, if I redirect the output (using ">wizimagegrabber.log"), then the console output doesn't go to the console, but also, nothing goes to the log file. (Note, that the console still displays this at the beginning:

Posted new version (v1.0.5.0) on the wiki

• Logging changes. Logs are created in both console mode and interactive mode
  
• Fixed bug where image placeholder was not getting written.
  
• Added build logic to allow to run on 64-bit system
  
• Console mode will spawn another CMD box. Due to limitations with windows console, could not get this to work in current cmd window.
  
• WizGenHelper.DLL is now included.
