LOL, I change so many things that I make my family sick! My problems were networking. It seemed to be a firewall problem but as my son wouldn't allow his loving father to use it too long, I gave up.
I download a good deal of British tv to my computer and play to my tv in the 'main' room thru my NMT. That's Sometimes, I stick it on a thumb drive and watch recorded files from it.
I've not used it with GBPVR more than 2 dozen times or so but it has worked rather well. Channel changing is understandably a little slow but recorded tv as well as files in the video directory and photos work very well. LiveTV looks almost as good as my digital cable on my 36" TV (old style ).
Lastly, I've ripped some of my wife's exercise dvd's and put them on the internal SATA drive and even she can turn things on use it though anything past that is lost on her. Actually, lots of things I read on the NMT forums are lost on me too.
I'll answer anything else you might want to know.
