How to add a plugin to the selction list

Sabrent SAA1730 TV/FM analog only! - Got it working with plugin

I have tried to find explicit detail myself without success so excuse me if this is too elementary.

My task: To have the Software Recorder plugin appear as a selectable item in the config tool plugin screen for selection.

What I have done:

a) Downloaded the plugin, extracted from zip created a sub dir under plugin called legacy, copied extracted files into it.

b) Launched config tool, opened plugin tab.

c) Stared blankly at the list of plugins which look like the defacto set supplied with initial install.

d) fiddled for a long time trying to fathom how to get Software Recorder to show up in the list.

How do you add a downloaded plugin to the list?

Note: I know this is a legacy plugin but it looks like my only long shot to get my Analog TV/FM (Sabrent SAA7130 -WDM) to quasi work with the app. The app is brilliant so I am trying very hard.

Any assistance or guidance is much appreciated.

First, check that you do not have any sub-directories under the legacy folder with .dll files there.

Second, run the config.exe program, check to see if not there, exit, zip and attach config.exe.log files from the logs folder.

I am one very, very happy camper - works like a hot diggity and my EPG in Canada works perfect (XMLTV down load now automated).

The plug in Found my $18 TV/FM card immediately.

The channels correspond perfectly with EPG and I love I can roll the channels with my mouse wheel while getting instant OST.

That was a week well spent - just for the total leaning experience - out of about 10 pkgs these here did the trick - in spades.

The only bit of off I found was selecting country... Canada does not seem to be in the list so I went with USA -

Seems to work fine all the same.
