The way GB-PVR reuses keyboard shortcuts is killing me. It would be nice if every function had it's own keyboard shortcut. I'm trying to use Firefly remote and EventGhost. One problem is I want to use the Up and Down buttons to skip over the commercials in comskip but then I have to assign those buttons with 0+cntrl+right/left. cntrl-B seems to be used a lot but I want to press the OK button for the progress bar to show up during a movie. I can't just assign it because cntrl-B is used throughout the app. If showing the progress bar had it's own unique key combination then I could just add it to the functions I want the OK key to handle. Has it ever been considered to make keyboard shortcuts configurable like in config.xml?

You can already control many of the key mappings can already be controlled in the xml files in C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\KeyMappings. I wouldnt consider providing providing any GUI for configuring this type of stuff - not worth the effort. Very few users would need it.

That said up/down/left/right/ok/back/home are special case keys and cant be repurposed. The app is hardcoded to use these for navigation and selection, and that is unlikely to ever change.

Great, didn't realize that was there. Is there a way to change the keyboard shortcut for the comskip skip function? I didn't see it in the videolibrary.xml.

Its skips ads automatically with comskip files. You dont need to press any key.

He means when you have auto-comskip disabled in config, then you have to hit the Play button to skip commercials. He wants an alternate button... it looks to me like there is no separate definition for the Play button as Play vs. the Play button as Comskip, so he can change the button but it will change both functions.

For my use, I found once I had comskip working there was no point in having auto-comskip off... if any recording comes up where comskip totally blew it, I can just hit 999 to disable auto-comskip and skip the file manually.

Right, I don't care for autoskip. I've used it before with other PVR programs and the skip detection is never perfect and I'm always needing to pull back or correct things.

How I have it set up now is using the keyboard shortcut 0+cntrl+right to move ahead and 0+cntrl+left to move back. I've assigned this to the up and down buttons on my firefly remote. The problem is these key combinations interfere with the MovieWiz plugin. If I could assign a key to each of those functions, like , and . they would not interfere with anything else.

I never understood the Play button deal with comskip. Pressing Play (cntrl-P) just causes the video to pause. So it doesn't work for me.

Thanks for this great program by the way. Just a few rough edges like this keyboard thing but otherwise very cool. I'm a .NET/C# developer and have had some video programming experience, I might try out the plugin architecture.
