may someone pls get me the right direction ? i was using getTunerStatus() some time ago but I neither find my old source nor findig out using it again.

where it is definied an how it will be used ?

I think your must be talking about the "PluginHelperFactory.getPluginHelper().getCaptureSourceStatus()" call that can be made by plugins. It returns a collection of strings - one for each capture source.
