reading tunerstatus

can anybody point me at the right direction ? I'm trying to read the tunerstatus from outside gbpvr. the pluginhelper doesnt work, which doesnt surprise me.

reading the recording service via tcp ip ?

SlimmGBPVR should do the trick (http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=21127). More precisely, its GBPVRcli commandline utlity. See the thread for info on how to use it. I use it to output data to txt files and display it on my LCD through LCDSmartie (including tuner status).

is there a known c# way to do this via any kind of api ? Does gbpvr api support this ?

Sorry, but there is no official way for doing this. There were hooks provided for people doing stuff with batch files, but not API for external applications to query the internal tuner status.

You could use the RSS feed from the EWA. Just read it with a WebClient().
