So I found an ATI 3650 at a really great price and upgraded my video card. It was actually the cheapest PCI-E video card in the store at $39. As a bonus, it has a 650 pro tuner on it. I primarily got this to use as a video card so if the tuner does not work, I am not really out anything.

I got it all setup and tested good in Windows Media Center. I was able to successfully record two shows simultaneously in WMC. GBPVR does see the card, but does not seem to lock onto any channels. I also see "Failed to start BDA Graph" everytime I attempt to scan for channels. I am assuming that means GBPVR cannot start the device. I have checked to make sure that media Center is not running.

Before I give up on it, I thought I would post my logs to make sure I wasn't missing something. The system is Win7 Ultimate. It also has a Hauppauge 1600 tuner that is working.

I had read lots of stuff about using XP drivers and copying the ini settings from another card to get it working, but nothing specific and recent.

Thanks.

There is no obvious cause shown in the logs. I'd expect this type of message if something was still using the device though. Maybe double check you've killed off the appropriate media center processes.

I was pretty thorough in checking stuff. I will double check again, but I am not too hopeful. I saw a note on ATI's web site saying they would release new drivers in the first quarter of 2010. Maybe that will help.

Thanks for the assist.

I got it working. All I didi was copy the tuning request from my Hauppauge 1600 to the ATI 650. I am now able to record 2 digital channels at the same time, watch one record another etc. It still does not find them in the scan.

Thanks for the help.

just use the ati hd 750 drivers as they include the 650's and the rest also...
not sure why they haven't updated the stupid web site tho...
[still says no win7 drivers available yet]

i got a diamond hd650 for 29$ and installed the 750 drivers [it's a unified driver like video cards,1-for-all]
it says they're not whql certified, but they install fine and scan works fine and picks up all channel for me..[ATSC]
install the xp 'video control panel' to get a gui adjust the noise filters...[seem to install n work fine in win7]
Hardware: HDHR Prime, HDPVR 1212, Raspberry pi2, VFD display w/LCDSmartie
