EWA has always worked fine in XP, but I just cannot get it to work in Windows 7 - "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage"
Trying http://localhost:7647/gbpvr/Guide2.aspx and http://COMPUTER NAME:7647/gbpvr/Guide2.aspx
Have tried other ports, and recording service is allowed through the Windows Firewall.

Can anyone post a step-by-step idiots guide to get it working?

  1. Right click "Computer" and select "Manage".
  2. Click "Services and applications" on the left.
  3. Click "Services" on the left.
  4. Right click "GB-PVR Recording Service" on the right and select "Properties".
  5. Click the "Logon" tab.
  6. Check the box that says "Allow service to interact with desktop"

Excellent! Thank you whurlston I never would have sussed that out.
However should be one extra step:
7. Restart recording service
After doing 1-6 and it still not working I spent half an hour playing with the firewall and rules before it occured to me that it might need to be restarted:o
