It looks like a low cost ($129) version of the next generation popcorn hour (C200). You can't put a hard drive inside it, which would not bother most GBPVR users. I presume MVPMCX2 won't work on it though since runs the same chip as the C200.

Since WD came out with their box, I've seen prices really drop.
Personally, I rarely use the internal drive of my PH but I like the option of at least hooking an external to it. I think with HDMI and it being networked, just a USB option would be fine with me.
It does seem to mimic much of what the C200 does. They just keep cranking these new ones out.

From what I've read this is not the A110 replacemen that is still to TBA, I see it more a competitor to where Roku is going. Unfortunately I don't envision any new GBPVR clients, GBPVR users didn't really buy into the original NMT device, nor did it attact many NMT purchasers.
I always got the impression that the NMT devices are quite popular with GBPVR users, but my impression is based solely on forum activity. I always seen as great successor to the MVP. I have been amazed by what you were able to do. Do you have any estimate of how many NMT/gbpvr users there really are?
After reading about the popbox some, I kind of got the impression this reincarnation of the NMT would support some sort of app store model similar to itunes/iphone. Maybe I am reading too much into what they are seeing, but could mvpmcx2 ever plug into that model?

Don't take what I said wrong, I think there are many satisfied GBPVR users, but strictly from Syabas' perspective, it is really not significant in sales unless perhaps from the view of helping sell the $100 refurbished models or in positive marketing exposure on the NMT user forum or elsewhere. Jaggy tried to get some general feedback from users here and that didn't really work.
I don't know where I will go on this in the future, I'll be happy supporting people who pick up the last of the PCH's and EGreat's and hope that models purchased from ebay will last reliably.
