Ah, are you talking about entries in EPG_EVENT not SCHEDULED_RECORDING? It doesnt attempt to keep the EPG_EVENT entries for completed recordings. Instead it stores a cached copy of the entry in SCHEDULED_RECORDING.event_details column.

Ok that's the problem I was explaining. I now lose the series and episode number needed for renaming. In addition I lose film ratings, and to database like searching capabilities on existing files.

Sorry, thats just the way NPVR is designed to work (this hasnt changed). By using a cached copy of the event info it solves several problems GBPVR had with trying to leave some EPG entries in the database related to recordings, which in turn might be related to channels the user whats to delete etc.

I could look into adding this extra info into the cached event_details though.

It would be nice to add series, episode rating and maybe bring back genre into this embedded metadata format. It does require brute force searching, probably not so bad for most users database.
