With the click of a button you could tell if your video issues are from lack of signal. This could be an important troubleshooting tool.

The OSD isnt really a great place to put this type of information, since the video renderers will only update the OSD while playing video frames, so unless you've got a pretty good signal you cant show the use any OSD information.

I think it would still be useful to have that info, even if it can only work with a signal good enough to generate playable video. Among other things it would help with antenna positioning.

I also miss the video-info pop-up from GB-PVR, I think it was Ctrl-O. It would show things like the video resolution, audio type, stream PID's, etc. Perhaps that pop-up could be resurrected, with the tuner name and signal strength/quality numbers as well. I know an oft-cited issue with the signal strength is that the range is different for each tuner, so you can't display a simple 0-100 percentage bar; however that screen would obviously be a technical screen, so it shouldn't matter if the format isn't really user friendly.
