Just thought I'd share my experience with the class:
RE: Leadtek Winfast DTV 2000 DS dual DVB-T PCI card.
Comes with a proprietary remote which only seems to work in the PVR software that comes with the card, which is actually not too bad, but not as good as GBPVR. So I bought a MCE remote, then went through the heartache of finding drivers for it, because I'm running XP Home, not MCE (I own MCE but can't remember why I chose not to use it) It has one input which is split internally on the card to the two tuners, so you only need one cable, no splitters etc. It is a low profile card and can fit in a skinny case, and comes with a low profile bracket if you need it, but the normal height bracket is fitted as standard. Other than the antenna input, it just has a jack for the remote IR sensor. Included in the box is a DVB-T antenna - you would probably need to be living right next door to the transmission tower for it to be any good, but its in there, and the whole package is pretty cheap (about $60-$70). 2xAAA batts for the remote were included too, so as far as value for money, I'm suitably impressed.
I bought one of these cards, but the first one was faulty - the second tuner didn't work. Took me ages to diagnose. MSY Technology replaced it no problem.
The second one is a newer model, though there is nothing on the box to indicate that, but it came with a different remote, and newer, slightly better software and drivers. Very strange, but at least I've ended up with the newer version than the older one.
GB-PVR didn't support it out of the box, so I tried Mediaportal again. Its a ritual I go through every now and then, but MP still is rather buggy.
To get the card to work in GB-PVR, I didn't realise it was as easy as adding this to the bda.ini file:
[Leadtek Winfast DTV 2000 DS]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-T
RECEIVER_ONLY_MODE=1
FILTER_RECEIVER=WinFast DTV 2000 DS
PIN_RECEIVER_IN=Antenna In Pin
PIN_RECEIVER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
The quality etc of the card seems fine. It tunes pretty quick - takes half as long as my old videomate card. Every now and then the picture freezes for an instant, but that happens with my Samsung TV's built in tuner as well, so I presume its a transmission or antenna problem.
All seems well at the moment, except automounting ISO's isn't working anymore, but thats a different topic.
