Hi

I am on 1.5.33 with all patches, and i'm having a problem when playing dvd's from ISO.
It mounts ok, and the dvd starts but it doesn't get any longer than the dvd-menu, and the menu is not "alive". Only thing i can do is hit back/Esc and get back to nPVR. It seems to me that it might have something to do with the dvd navigator.....

I don't see this when playing dvds from folders:confused:

Anyone else see this?

This problem happend if DxVA is on and EVR is in use.
It is caused by missing decoder->EVR subpicture connection.

You can "fix" it (DVD menus) by using different decoder (FFDshow), you can try for exmaple SAF5 (link below). SAF will setup all automatically for you.

Thanks hoborg!

I have installed SAF 5(and use ffdshow for DVDs), but now i have a black screen when playing DVD's. I can see others have had the same experience - i do not fully understand what to do about this.

Try Stop and play it again, or try press F7 - there is some AR problem in nPVR.

For me DVDs are playing with "black screen" issue, but the problem is that video have horribly wrong AR, i must press F7 to fix it, then all is OK until next start.

This problem happends only in nPVR.

No, that doesn't do the trick for me...
I might go with the WMR9 :-(

EDIT: The dvd-menus are not particularly good in WMR9 - some of them don't work!

Dont mess renderers, rule are easy winXP=VMR9, Vista/Win7=EVR.

Set EVR back, replay your DVD and create LOGs again.
If you look on system root, you will find SAF logs, include them too, i will take a look.

EDIT:
BTW, SAF installed MPC-HC player for you, could you try to play DVD here and look if it is working?

I didnt found anything. Acording NPVR logs, DVD start to play....

You should update GPU drivers, your are from 7-2-2009...

Can you try this:?

Start nPVR, play DVD. Now start Graphstudio (START-SAF-tools-Graphstudio) File - Connect to remote graph. There you should see the graph. Take screenshot and post it here.

EDIT:
Can you please try this:
