I assume you've setup capture sources for each of them?

If so, try recording on two at the same time, then post the logs and I'll see if anything stands out.

No, I can't. When I try to add a source and tick "available devices" in the config, only one set (two tuners) appear.

That doesn't matter. Set it up 4 times anyway. Use device #'s 1 through 4.

Hmm. I will try again, but I am fairly sure that this is what led to the tuners arguing with each other; using the first one the first time, the second one the next, etc. Devices 3 and 4 are occupied with virtual tuners, but presumably I can use the first numbers available.

johnsonx42 is correct, you need create multiple capture sources for this device, with device numbers 1-4.

Ignore other devices, they have different drivers, so have their own unique numbers. The device number is per driver, so 1-4 for your four identical tuners.
