Just an OT side note: It took me a while to stop laughing when I got to the CCCP project's page and saw that hammer and sickle!!!

Who are these, a bunch of kids who are too young to remember the cold war? Using that absurd symbol is like using a swastika to represent your software. They are probably revolting a lot of users and causing people who would get good use of their codec package to turn away in disgust.
They can *say* they don't care about those people all they want, but when you make a good piece of software, you want as many people as possible to use it.
Political ideology shouldn't be in the logo.
