which motherboards are supporting 350 tv-out?

since i want to install a new mobo, please help me to get the right one.

it must be a socket 478 board (p4) with sata and as much pci slots as possible.

This question has been asked so many times with so few answers =) It seems to be a lottery. I have a Via Epia M10000, and it does not fully work with the pvr-350. Yet others have no problems. I have, however, not heard of anyone with an Asus Pundit-R having any problems. I won't guarantee anything, though =) The best thing would be if you could get some kind of deal to return the motherboard if it doesn't work with the card...

i have ASUS P4P800S SE and it works perfect, no lockups, no err other problems. just need the latest drivers form shspvr and its good to go.

I'm running a (probably very) underpowered Abit BP6 with dual Celeron 466 processors, 512MB RAM, 40GB drive and a PVR-350.

It works...occasionally...kind of... It'll behave itself if you set it running and leave well alone. If one tries to flip channels (Telewest cable via RedEye serial) the PVR-350 tv-out locks up and shows that delightful screenful of intense reddy-orangeness.

This was something of a test project to figure out the main problems before buying a pukka HTPC case, new mobo, etc. I'm hoping the DFI mobo I have in mind is tolerant of the Athlon 64 I'll be plugging into it and that GBPVR also enjoys its company and complains less than it does on my "pikey" setup right now.

Avoid anything with a VIA chipset if you ever intend to fit a Hauppauge PVR500. Hauppauge themselves admit there is a known problem.

I ditched my ASUS P4V8X-X with VIA chipset for this reason and replaced it with an Intel D865GBFL. Not the cheapest of mobos available but it has onboard everything, AGP slot and 6 PCI slots. I would most definately recommend it.
