iphone IOS5 can't login

Since upgrading my iphone to IOS 5 I can't login with it whereas it works fine from google chrome on my laptop.
Anyone else have this problem or have any clues how to fix it?
Looking at web.log it seems the password hash value doesn't match

are you pressing return on keyboard or login under where you put your password

Yes, enter username and password, then press on done to get rid of the keyboard followed by pressing on login is how I get to the login failed message

I'm guessing you're talking about NEWA here?

Out of interest, set your password to be 'password' (without the single quotes) then attempt a login and then post the hash value shown in the web.log.

Was that using the password set as password? Neither of those hash values are what I'd expect in that case.

yes, password=password and can login from web but not iphone, log message is from iphone trace.
I just deleted web.log, and tried again. Different hash this time but same results

Curious thing is earlier in the log I see

which matches whats in config.xml
