If I see the following in the logs:

2012-01-22 15:35:32.806   [DEBUG][1]   Blah blah blah...
2012-01-22 15:35:32.866   [DEBUG][9]   More waffle...

Do the numbers in braces ([1] and [9] in this case) refer to the thread running that code?

Yes, that's how I always understood it. If you're analysing something in the logs then match the [...] to properly track the sequence of events.

Thanks. That was my understanding of it too, but I wanted to be sure.

I'm trying to clean up the multi-threaded code in the System plugin, so it's really handy for discovering that something you thought was running in the UI thread actually isn't. In some cases it's a wonder the plugin works at all Rolleyes
