Cannot stream using http:/ipaddress:8866/live?channel=###

great feature indeed, I absolutely love it, I can stream my tv in full quality wherever I am. I have however not been able to get the unsupported transcoding to work, if I got that working I would also have to option to stream to my mobile. Not something that is very important to me, but maybe I will try more to get it working later.

For transcoding to work you'll need the newest version of FFMPEG (don't put it in .\Others, put it somewhere else and update the location in Config.xml). You might want to have a look at this thread: http://ffmpeg.gusari.org/viewtopic.php?f...1&start=10 to pick up some hints for a starting point.

Thanks for input/links, I did a quick test, downloaded git version of ffmpeg, updated Config.xml

Use following in vlc

http://192.168.10.210:8866/transcode?cha...trate=256k

After a while the tuner does tune the channel, but then stops again, ffmpeg is never launched and nothing in vlc.

Are you guys making .m3u8 playlists that point to the transcoding URL? I tried that yesterday and it showed a 10 second chunk of video on an iPad...

No just canning port 8866 with the /transcode parameter as KRA points out in post 22.
