I am new to GB-PVR and loving it. I just got my web page link figured out through my wireless router and it's great too.

If any of these things are already here and I'm missing it - please excuse me and let me know.

1. I'd like to see a list of programs that have already been recorded, with file size and program info.

2. It would also be great to be able to download it. A little redundant because you'd probably only do it from a networked computer - but I would use it instead of Network Neighborhood.

3. Be able to rename the filename - via the web without messing up that show on GB-PVR

4. Sorting by different fields.

5. A favorite list for online and ability to switch between all and favorite view.

Thanks,

I'd like to second the idea of having a file listing/download for already recorded videos. If you had that, it's really easy to use the videolan with mozilla plugin to have it automatically stream recorded videos from the webserver to the videolan client. The videolan client will work on multiple OS, so it's much more friendly than the crappy network neighborhood.

I'd second the idea of a web interface to the list of recorded and ripped videos.

I tried an experiment just now to play a recorded video over the WLAN. We have a dual mode 802.11A/B LAN (soon to be 802.11A/B/G). The GBPVR is on the 802.11B segment at 11MB and my Thinkpad is on the 11A segment at 54MB.

I attached to the drive in the GBPVR and ran the video file "zzzzz.mpeg" and it played flawlessly despite the fact that it was being fed on an 11MB LAN. I tried running it simultaneously on another Thinkpad it it started 'stuttering' so clearly more than one video feed is not practical over the 11MB segment.

But once I move it to the 54 MB segment it should be able to handle two or perhaps more feeds. Everyone in my family has a notebook on the WLAN so this would be a very practical alternative to a MVP solution for us.

I'd like to see the web interface have an option to list/link the current recordings as well as any ripped DVDs. Clicking on the filename would then allow the client to play the video over the WLAN.
