Meta data video library

When i use external meta data for description in video library for movies not recorded by nextpvr.
The description (name of file.xml) and image shows when i open the folder.
But if paused or blue button pressed to show description I only get the little image on left but no description at bottom of screen?

Is there another file its looking for or any way to get it to show like it does if the meta data is embedded?
