Added another tuner, new problems

SUB,

I just reinstall WHS2011, then install Hauppauge driver, and download and install 2.5.5, scan working perfect.

So I'm thinking, yes there could have been something in my previous install causing trouble, but then I think, maybe, just maybe, the patch you made for my Terratec H7 tuner, could IT be causing the problems ? Because I havn't applied it yet, and I'm a little worried about doing it, not to mention, if it's to blame, you using it in your next release.

Nah, it wont be related to that.

I added the terratec h7 patch, and tested a channel, still working.

Testing more channels, BSOD

I will restore the original unmanaged file now and do more test.

I'm afraid the patch is at fault, don't know if I could do any test to confirm 100% but after I go back to original file I can successfully change channels again.

Sorry, but I dont believe that's the case. That patch doesn't change anything that could account for your BSOD. It's got to be occurring the in the driver, because user mode code cant generate BSODs. These only occur in protected mode code like drivers.

You are right, once it started grabbing EPG (c:\devxxxxxx\null.ts) is epg grabbing right ?

It eventually BSOD again. So no it's not related to the patch.

Unfortunatly problem is still here, even if it doesn't happen so often it still happens. I'm puzzled.

I guess this also invalidates the win8 test I did, still though at the point where it bsod as soon as I hit scan, I was still able to do full scan and watch tv on 4TR, no reboots or nothing involved.
