I turned the log level to ERROR on sagedct. Oddly enough its changing channels well all of a sudden. I am having a tiny stutter/buffer every 10-15 seconds or so when recording other channels and watching a live one.
Is there something to change the buffering so this stops or alter another setting?

Here are the new sage logs.

I think you moved the log level in the wrong direction but at this point I doubt that there is SageDCT issue. Not knowing your PC or network layout makes it difficult to over solutions, I don't even know if the Ceton is on your NextPVR PC or a remote one. The only real thing I can suggest is if M: is a share does recording to a local drive change things?

If it was me I'd start by starting Task Manager on the NextPVR box and looking at networking, cpu and disk performance levels for bottlenecks. If playback is only an issue on XBMC and XBMC is streaming from a network PC you can modify network settings and buffers in advancedsettings.xml

One thing I noticed is a high level of ffmpeg demux logging which might cause excessive writes. (nextpvr xbmc and network recorder all log too much too) babgvant did let me know is that there is a setting to disable ffmpeg logging in the config tool.

Sorry for being unclear. NPVR runs on my main server with the Ceton PCI Card in it. My testing is between my pc running XBMC and the Server, trying to watch TV through the PC via the XBMC NPVR Addin. The Media Files and M: drive are hard drives local on that Server. NPVR uses C:\TEMP and M:\ for recorded shows which is a local 4TB HD.

Do you suggest any specific adjustments to the streaming in advancedsettings.xml?

Since performance is the issue now, Ill try to disable logging.

Do you suggest any specific decoders, would those help at all?

Hopefully you talk to the Ceton on 127.0.0.1? I don't know what buffering can be configured in the pvr addon.

Decoders won't help, they are for NextPVR. However you can test it to see if the stuttering is xbmc or the file by using nextpvr.
