Thanks for the suggestion. The following configuration gives me video but no audio from recordings and live TV:

Notice that my only choice for AC-3 audio is the Pinnacle Audio Decoder. I'm using the latest Pinnacle TV Center software (v6.4.4.905).

This issue surprises me because there are so many PCTV 80e's in the wild. They come up for sale at US$25 periodically.

Hope someone can assist with getting audio. I've attached a zip of the logs.

Install AC3Filter and select that as your AC3 decoder. I'm guessing it'll get your audio going.

I wasn't clear that you need to obtain AC3 filter. Here's the link:

Thanks for the link. I was about to post a request for its location.

The install process proposed a bunch of crapware, but the AC3 Filter did the trick. I now have audio for recorded and live video.

Thanks to all the forum members who assisted me in solving the PCTV 80e mystery. I can now finish my blog post about using NextPVR with Android devices, including the Nexus 7 and the CozySway UG007. Will post a message when it's complete.
