What is NetTarget please?

Dear Experts,

I was able to get NetworkRecorder working with SGraphRecorder.

On the NetworkRecorder page I saw NetTarget besides SGraphRecorder.

What is NetTarget? What can I do with it please?

NetTarget isn't needed with SGraphrecorder, or other devices that use the SageTV interface like the SageDCT, SageMCETuner or r5000 devices. Its purpose is a bit of hack to allow NetworkRecorder to capture stream with full URL's from other devices like Dreamboxes, DVBViewer, or http-based IPTV
