Video streaming remotely?

When I click on one of my recordings and the VLC pop-up window appears, nothing happens...? Note that I am connecting to Web Console remotely and I only forwarded port 8877. Also, any chance SSL could be added?

Just tested locally and the stream does in fact start playing after a few seconds. Maybe I need to forward more ports?

yeah I havent been able to get remote streaming work yet. I haven't spent much time on it though (maybe 20 minutes).

I'll talk to UJB to see how NEWA over comes this.

Well I do know I had issues with remote streaming on NEWA, but I resolved it by changing the value for <AllowRemoteStreaming> in the config.xml file (in the NPVR folder) to "true". Apparently it's set to false by default.

reven, just installed the latest version of WC. Things are working great. Any update on remote streaming?

sorry haven't done much development on this, have been focus on other projects (main focus atm is nextpvr for samsung)
