I am not sure if the problem is in the server or the client but the end result seems to be the PVR add-on being disabled and restarted. Video stops and I am kicked back to the main menu. Dialogs open when the PVR starts again then same as when XBMC first starts.

Both server and client are Windows 7 64bit machines. Server running 2.5.9 with R2 updates and also tried reverting back to pre R2 NUtility.dll.

I don't think that it is a network or hardware problem as I had been using MediaPortal without this type of problem.

I attached my logs and also a screenshot showing the PVR is not enabled.

In the logs the problems start at 15:46:20.216.

The weblog shows the client trying to initiate a new session right in the middle of streaming.
NRecord shows nothing until I exit XBMC on the client at 15:58. (it never stopped timeshifting)

Other than that I am very happy with the quality of NPVR. Thank You!

Well, it looks like the PVR add-on is restarting more or less randomly. It restarts even when XBMC is doing nothing and the pvr is not being used.

I attached just the XBMC log this time. You can see the PVR Manager Error at the 20:59 mark.

Thanks again,

Thomas

Well, I thought it was fixed after a clean XBMC install including the user data... But after a few hour the error returned. Just to note, X-NEWA has been working fine so I think the problem is isolated to the PVR add-on.

luckily SMajor posted on another thread that anything post R2 was giving him this behavior too. I have gone back to R2 and have not seem the PVR add-on restart all day. I also went back to what I think is the original time-shifting NShared.DLL (10-26-12) and now the server seems to be behaving properly. (stopping and deleting the time-shifting files...).
