Crash in module mscorwks.dll while auto EPG update at 2:00AM

Does the Recording Service only crash because of a problem with the EPG update from DVB?

Would it help to use the Windows Task Scheduler to run the a "shutdown /f /r" to force a reboot every night 15 minutes after the EPG update time?

It seems to crash only when stoping DVB EPG update graph (maybe only on one multiplex), i didn't noticed it elsewhere.

Well, i think it can cause troubles, becouse my HTPC go to sleep after 5 minutes.

Will it run even if nRecord crash?

There is no way how to prevent this crash? Becouse it will stop the recording service.

I've never seen the problem myself, so haven't been able to run it up in the debugger to find out what is happening.

but is there no way that you can get NRecord to ignore a crashed NDigitalHost? I understand that this problem hangs the particular NDigitalHost forever, and likely makes the tuner unusable, but why can't NRecord continue on with other tuners? This wouldn't help the single-tuner users, but it would provide some failure protection for those with at least two tuners (and make getting a second tuner more worthwhile).

That's why NDigitalHost.exe exists, and it certainly did work in the last logs I looked at closely. I'm happy to look at new logs if people have them.

Hoborg's problem is related to the EPG update though, which for historic reasons happens in nrecord.exe, so these changes in NDigitalHost.exe wont help him.
