How to record same channel same timeslot daily with different name from EPG?

using the Advanced Rule, the recording name does from the guide. This isn't really a manual recording, it's a recurring EPG recording based on an advanced rule.

by the way, it would be nice if sub could hide or grey-out the Start Time and End Time on Advanced Rule recordings.

We can still key in the recording time for start time and end time so that it will be shown when viewing the list of recurring recordings.

I believe that is still not supported; manual recordings of any type record only to the default path. There are some folks who have been bugging sub about that pretty much since the day after multiple recording paths were added... it wouldn't surprise me if sub sometimes resists adding some feature because he knows that will just be one more thing for people to bug him about.

Ok, my first experience with advanced rules after more trial and error. Finally know how to record multiple shows within a time period with just 1 setting.
Sharing with those who might be interested in using advanced rules to set their recordings too.

My setting to record all shows between 6pm to 11pm on channel 1 in the weekdays.

Recording Type : Record Week Days (Monday - Friday) (you can select daily, weekly or weekends too)
Channel : Channel 1 (select your own channel)
Name : Set a name if you wish to be shown in the list of recurring recording.
Date : Set a start date if needed
Start Time and End Time : Set it if you want it to be shown in the list of recurring recording.
Advanced rules : time(start_time,'localtime') > time('18:00:00') AND time(start_time,'localtime') < time('23:00:00')

OK and update your EPG to see the recordings appear in your pending recording. You will see all the shows between 6pm to 11pm appear in the pending recording.

Notes :
1) Adjust the first timing to 1 minute earlier(such as 17:59:00) in the advanced rules if the first show never appear in your pending recording.
2) Do not update your recurring recording or you might be hitted with a possible time bug bringing your recordings few hours early or few hours later depending on where you are. Delete the unwanted recurring recordings and create new recurring recording with advanced rules.
