I note that when doing a DVB EPG update NPVR scans all muxes [six in my area].
I may be wrong in this but I believe [in UK at least] that full EPG data is available on every mux - so NPVR only needs to scan one?
Is this already configurable or does it belong on the wishlist?

You are correct, the full epg is available on each mux - I use DVBGuide to get it from one frequency - but it actually takes 7 or 8 minutes to get the full listing so it wouldn't save any time.
And no it isn't configurable.
It's not an overly complicated system - it's more - overly simple operatives  Huh

ah but I am using the inbuilt NPVR function which spends one minute per mux so taking six minutes when it could be done in one minute?

Unfortunately there is a lot of variety in the way DVB networks transmit their EPG, so NextPVR has to take the conservative method that'll result in the most listings in the most countries.

Yes I thought that might be the case and nearly suggested in my post that it would have to be optional and would also possibly require a "select mux that carries full EPG" function in case only a particular mux did so.
Just an idea that struck me whilst trying out the UK DVB EPG again since you added the Huffman decoding update [which works fine BTW].
Going back to XMLTV GUI [Radio Times] which has more data anyway [until it get's scrapped by Atlas!]
