empty epg on update

As the heading says
I would like the epg to empty then update
the reason is. I am getting double ups on sundays when the epg updates
Its been doing it for ages
Only reason I care now is that im trying out the Samsung app its causing issues when the app loads
plus it is annoying

yes update during live tv is unticked

It does already empty the EPG when it updates it.

Well it never has on mine every Sunday it goes to crap for a day the next night it's ok
Is there a empty epg command
And a up date epg command
I'll try and botch something up to run Instead

I double checked, and it's definitely deleting existing listings before saving the new ones. You should see some lines in your logs saying things like "Deleting old listings from Channel OID:"

This is the normal automated EPG update right, not something you're triggering with command line args?

If you're using xmltv, it doesn't contain duplicates in that file?

Yeah it's the dvb-s over the air epg
It's cool you said the same thing last time I remember
I will figure out a work around

Check your logs as sub suggested. I had a similar problem some time ago and I was getting an error during the epg update and because of this it skipped doing the delete first and I was getting a number of overlapping epg entries. I can't remember the message, but the logs said something about not deleting existing entries....

I have made a simple batch to force empty and reload
Test show it working
But will investigate further for the errors
