A couple of things on max recordings:

1. You don't need to remove the entry from the Recording Schedule table yourself. GBPVR will automatically do this when it detects that the recording has been removed from it's folder.

2. How does this handle shows like Star Trek: Enterprise where they have a colon in the actual name stored in the program table.

3. If renaming a recording, should RenameRecording.exe be run before or after MaxRecordings.exe?

4. Any possibility of adding delete based on diskspace as well as the number of shows? I.e. start deleting shows when you get close to 10gb left or something like that?

I've setup it up to run on a few shows, and will see how it works.

I didn't write it. It's a utilty written by ZaDDaZ. Basically allows you to specifiy the Maximum number of recordings to keep on a per episode basis.

I just posted a new DeleteRecordings.exe utlity here:

DeleteRecordings.exe

Actually had it written a couple weeks ago but didn't have time to test/post til now, so unfortunately has some overlap w/MaxRecordings ... but DeleteRecordings does have a delete based on disksapce -- you can specify the free space level for the drive, and the max num number of episodes, as well as a min number of episodes to go down to if space is needed.

Where did you get MaxRecordings from? i was looking for the zip so i could compare the source/configs for these two, but must have missed it in my search attempts..
