esata connection

Any idea why my e-sata hard drive is having issues? I am changing the location for recorded shows to point to my esata drive but when i try to watch livetv i just get a black screen and it freezes. i have to ctrl alt delete to get out. the drive works and i can save to it normally and watch videos from it outside of nextpvr. any ideas? thanks!

It could be permissions on the LocalSystem account related to Plug and Play. Does it work if the drive is connected on boot?

Hi, it shows up fine and works fine when i want to play something from the esata drive in windows OS. but when i am nextpvr it shows me a black screen when going to livetv. i can even play videos with in nextpvr as well using the video library plugin. and yes, i tried the drive connected on boot. thanks!

Logs may help - but when you changed drive locations, did you change the live TV buffer directory in settings?
