Merge HDHRPrime & HDHR tuner channels?

So I picked up a HDHomeRunPrime cable card tuner to go along with my regular HDHR tuner (non-cablecard). After a fiasco with Cox cable I managed to get the cablecard working and the channels scanned into NPVR. The question now, is it possible to combine the two overlapping channel lists? The HDHR only has 8 QAM channels mapped, the prime has 60 channels, but the 8 are duplicates. Is there a way to map them so the next available tuner picks up the recording or am I stuck with two separate channel lists that I have to pick from when selecting to record?

Hi - I'm the person that created the JSON service on Schedules Direct. If it makes it easier, then I can create a QAM lineup that only has the QAM channels in it, so for the HDHR Prime you'd use the lineup that has your 800 or whatever channels, and then the QAM lineup would have just the 8 channels.

I'd need to coordinate some details offline with you about the tuning information you picked up for QAM to create the lineup; you can send me a private message and we can get that process started.

Yes, you can do that. On that screen you've shown, highlight two channels you want to merge (ie hold the ctrl key and click two channels), right click and select 'Merge' from the content menu. From then on, the application will treat them as the same channel, and recordings for that channel can use any of the available sources.

The app auto merges channels from the same type of channel, ie QAM or ATSC etc, but in this case you've got two different channel types for the same channels, so you have to do it manually in the way I describe above.

Thanks Sub, that got me fixed up. I had tried the bulk merge but that didn't seem to do anything. Selecting them individually worked perfect!
