both were set to true. I will set them to false and see if that helps.

Watching ProcMonitor before I could see NPVR kept touching the old recordings on the NAS. I don't see that now. I need to be home to check the performance though so I will report back later.

I did find some looping in your logs. It looks like you have about 10 channels with no guide data. Kodi does seem to keep coming back looking for data for those channels every few seconds in the small sample of web.logs you sent. channel.listings is a reasonably heavy call too so you would get improvements deleting them if you don't need them Enabling Kodi debug logging would show how often you request them and show which ones don't have listings.

I checked here and it loops back every 5 minutes for my missing channels. In the Kodi manager I am able to turn off Activate Guide for these channels and that stops the spam

Sub - That was it...thank you. As soon as I disabled those two options everything went right back to normal. For some reason the extra time for those processes to run was crashing liveTV.

NAS drives are pretty slow at some of these operations that are almost instant from a local drive.

Whenever it loads the recording list, and either of those settings are true, then it'll check the file exists before including it in the list. So this involves lost of file system operations to check each file is there. It needs to do it for each recording.
