Auto Delete Old Recordings

I switched from Windows Media Center to NextPVR. With WMC, when there is not enough disk space for new recordings, oldest recordings are automatically deleted to make space for new recordings.

Is there a similar functionality with NextPVR?

I don't want NextPVR to make assumptions about what it can safely delete.

You can however tell it to only keep x number of recordings for a particular show though, which is useful for keeping the disk space under control.

I understand your point of view. My point of view is "I prefer to don't miss a new recording than to keep an old show that I didn't care to watch."

In WMC, there is a warning sign next to the shows that would soon be deleted, with an option to "Conserve" the show. Maybe a plugin could be developed with this functionality?

I once did a wish list request for a feature that enabled you to "only keep for...xy" when you set-up a recording.

Some programs like soaps etc... if I haven't watched it within a week I'm never going to watch it.

How do I do this? I make recordings of news programs that my wife and I look at, but I don't want to keep scores of them. How can I tell NextPVR to record today's Amanpour and delete all but the most recent 10 of them?

You can set a value for "Keep" when you create a Recurring Recording.
