I recorded 1203 HBOFHD from 9:42 - 9:43 made several attempts to playback from 9:44 - 9:46 p.m. CST. I'm giving times because I assume that the logs are time stamped.

Have you got a video decoder other than 'ATI MPEG Video Decoder' to try?
If that doesn't help, I might need you to supply a small sample recording, so I can try playing it here.

Video Renderer: EVR
Audio Renderer: Default Music Renderer: Default MPEG2 Video: ATI MPEG Video Decoder - Only Option H.264 Video: ATI MPEG Video Decoder - One option: Microsoft DTV-DVD Video Decoder HEVC Video: Disabled - No options I changed H.264 video to the Microsoft Decoder. I was able to playback what I recorded but was not able to watch live. I tried to attach a 9mb file but it told me the file was too large. Also, in the Video sections I am only able to watch .avi files. MP4 and MKV files do not play. I hit enter, the screen blinks, then nothing happens.

sounds like the channel is h.264 then. go to Settings->Channels, select the channel, then click Edit Digital Tuning and change the service type to h.264.

I do not have that option.
I did switch codecs to for MPEG2 and H.264 go ffdshow Video Decoder and HEVC to LAV and I can know see the non DRM HBO channels. I can also now play my Movie files for MP4 and MKV. Things are looking up. THanks for the help everyone. Looks like I'm switching to NEXT. I have been with media portal for a few years but they cannot pick up half of the CableCard channels that NEXT can. Hopefully I can stick with NEXT for a long time.

I'll check what type of video etc, and if there is anything weird that NextPVR doesn't like. Quote:Also, in the Video sections I am only able to watch .avi files. MP4 and MKV files do not play. For all other files types it just asks Windows to choose the decoders / splitters etc. I'm pretty sure you install the LAV Splitter (from https://github.com/Nevcairiel/LAVFilters...taller.exe), these other file types will play fine. |
