Hello and first thanks to the developers, great product !

So I have my setup on a 64 bit windows 10 machine running version 3.5.7.

I'm in Melbourne, Australia and have a FusionHDTV - express DVB-T Card in the Box, its primarily used as a Live TV and DVR -> Plex

All is working, ALL the channels are there, I update the EPG TV Guide OTA from the channels section of Settings, all works and I get > a week of EPG ... all goo so far

So then in the next 1/2 days the EPG empties (1 to 2 days into the week I did have) ... never updates, I have to go back every 24 hrs to Settings->Channels

so....

1) why does the EPG just disappear
2) why does it not update in the background as MS MCE did (I assume this is related to 1) )

Many thanks all Smile

Cheers

Graham

It attempts to do an automatic EPG update each night. If you can post the nrecord.log, I'll check what happened last night when it tried.

Try these settings ......

Put the machine to "sleep" or set the time to when it is usually on ..... I have set mine to 8:00AM.

If you want updates while you are watching TV then set "Update DVB EPG during live tv" to on (tick)

I also have "What's New Days" set to 7 (Recording Settings) .... not sure if this will help Big Grin

"What's New Days" has absolutely nothing to do with the EPG. It controls only how many days of completed recordings are displayed in the "What's New" Recordings list.

"Update DVB EPG during live tv" should generally not be enabled. There is a purpose for it, but seems more likely to cause problems; I think it even sometimes can make EPG entries disappear.

I do currently have the "Update DVB EPG during live tv" enabled - But question, if you Don't have it enabled, how does the EPG update ? as a background where the box is not in 'Live TV' mode ?

Thanks again Big Grin

Disable that.

It does an epg collection in the background at the time specified in the Settings->Misc2 screen.
