Channel groups are busted in NextPVR 3.5.7

Hmm, I seem to be able to create channel groups fine with your database.

Are you doing the same thing as me? ie, go to the Settings->Channels screen, and clicked the Groups, then select a few channels on the left, drag them to the right, and it'll auto create a new group. Give it a name. Hit Ok, and it should have saved the channel group. Hit Groups again. You should see your group still listed.

Yes, although I was trying to add them to All Channels. You using Windows 10? I don't know if that matters.

Windows 10 has absolutely nothing to do with it.

the Group "All Channels" as the name strongly suggests, already contains all your channels - so adding a channel to All Channels will do zilch since it already contains all channels.

start by dragging a channel from the list on the left side into the white space on the right side and I will great a new channel group for you'

Yes.

As mentioned above, "All Channels" is a special group that already contains all channels. You shouldn't be trying to add or remove anything from this group. Just create a new group.

OK. Now it works. Sorry I misunderstood. Originally, I think I created more groups though. On a somewhat related matter, it would help if the Group editor window would provide information about the channel: Description (when available), vertical resolution, etc.
