Freesat (UK) EPG Problems

I decided to try and simplify my setup recently, so ditched some DVB-T tuners and now rely solely on a dual-tuner DVB-S. I was also getting all EPG data from DVBGuide (along with some post-processing of my own), but have now decided to abadon all that in favour of NPVR's built-in Freesat listings collection.

But... it's not working :confused:

I seem to get listings for about 40 of the 70(ish) channels I have, and weirdly it's for the first 40 (as the guide sees them), and then nothing.

I've tried running manually, via the System plugin, increasing the scan time, fiddling with the transponder frequency, etc....but the missing channels just won't fill in. Update during Live TV is disabled.

I've attached logs showing a scan, and my database too.

Are the channels that have missing EPG data FreeSat or the free SKY channels? The FreeSat EPG doesn't contain data for most of the Sky free channels only the ones that are on both FreeSat & SKY.
When I get time I'm going to capture the SKY EPG channel so Sub can take a look to see if NextPVR can be made to decode it.

Yep, they're all set to use Freesat, and they're all genuine FTA Freesat channels that DVBGuide will happily pick up EPG details for.

There does appear to be very minor fluctuation in the missing channels, in that occasionally one or two of the missing ones located at the cutoff point in my list (ie channel 40ish) will sometimes fill in, but on the whole it seems to be the first 40 complete and the next 30 empty.

Ok, problem solved.

The 40 channels that worked had been manually edited - double clicking each one to change them from xmltv to Freesat EPG, closing the dialog, opening the next one etc... at which point I was getting bored and happened to open the bulk map dialog hoping there was a quicker way. I then found I could set the EPG source for the remaining channels without opening/closing windows each time.

But the settings made there don't appear to stick; dunno how I missed that! Bug or just my misunderstanding of what the bulk map dialog can/can't do?
