Has anyone done any work on an internet browser?
I don't run NEWA, just the straight NPVR GUI.

I looked at the RSSreader plugin, but that won't give me what I'm after.
Ideally I would like to access internet streaming sites from within NPVR.

Maybe what I'm asking for is too complicated?

Web Radio will do it in NextPVR but video can be complicated to set up. Also video URLs change frequently.

You're wanting a keyboard controlled browser to access streaming sites? There was a browser called kylo that kinda did this. Changed web sites for 10" interface, and allowed easier keyboard navigation since most sites don't do this as they're designed for mouse and 2" distance.

Project died I believe.

It is probable quite difficult, but I'd be keen on it if you could pull it off. It's my one pet peeve with having a PC inthe lounge - supposedly the wholly grail of media streamers....but having to use a mouse/keyboard is just annoying.

BTW kodi is a fairly good compromise as most popular sites might have a plugin, and has the proper 10" interface and keyboard control (and nextpvr recordings access).

Do you know if it's possible to use a remote control to navigate a web page?

In Firefox, you can set it up to use keystrokes to navigate web pages and links. I don't know if Chrome has this feature but, if it does, the remote should work as it effectively emulates keystrokes.
