I guess the best you can do is try to find a sequence of events that leads to the problem, so we can understand what is happening. It's still not clear from your description what the sequence of events are.

All I know is that none of the nrecord log files you supplied show it requesting channel 1066.

It might be fixed, but there never was a discernible pattern and I couldn't recreate it at will. I'm out of town for a week but I'll try and play with it again next week.

On my STB with my HDPVR if I tune a channel that is not subscribed too it will jump to the next highest subscribed number. Perhaps there has been a copy freely change?
