Can't find Channel 5 HD

Hi all,

I've only just found out that Channel 5 hd is now on freesat. I've refreshed the scan, but next pvr has not found the new channel.

I don't know if I have to delete all the channels and do a fresh rescan. I haven't done this because my setup is working rather well.

What's the easiest way to find Channel 5hd without messing with my current setup?

Do you know what frequency this channel is on? The first thing we should check is that this is one of the channels being scanned.

You need this tuning string, although I can't recall (and can't check just now) if it's in the UK Freesat ini file.

You could make a new file in C:\Users\Public\NPVR\Tuning\DVB-S and edit it to contain just the following, then point your tuner(s) at it and do a scan:

I think Iain forgot to mention that the file name is 0282.ini. You can download the latest from the web site listed at the top of the file. My file is dated Aug 2015 and has the correct frequency.

Thanks for all the replies, I have found the HD channel now but I think I've somehow gone around it the wrong way.

The channel description is Channel 5 and not Channel 5 HD, but it is definitely the HD channel.

The reason I think something is wrong is that the Freesat OTA epg data for this channel is not being retrieved, and is the only channel with no data.
