Hello,

I recently upgraded to Windows 10 and have been trying to use NextPVR. The issues I'm having is the Live TV and recording are choppy, complete black screen or the program crashes with a Runtime C++ R6106 error. I'm at a lost at what to try

My specs are as follows
TV tuner: Hauppauge 2255
Processor: AMD Quad core 4GZ
Ram 16GB
Windows 64bit

I've attached the logs. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you try with the recommended EVR renderer?

Yes that was the default. I also tried every other one listed with no luck :-(

You probably need to work out if it's a playback or capture issue. ie, do a recording, then try playing it in NextPVR - is it smooth? If you try playing the file in another player, is it smooth there?

The recordings from last night are not smooth at all in NextPVR, I also tried playing the recording in Windows media player and it is also jagged there. I never had this issue with WMC except for the occasional pixelation that comes with using OTA. So I assume this is a capture issue.

If it's a capture issue, then it's almost certainly a signal issue then, rather than something NextPVR is causing. I'd suggest trying it in the Hauppauge software to see if it's the same there.

Thanks. It seems WinTV 8 also does this. I'll contact Hauppauge to see if they have a solution.

It's probably down to cabling or splitters or something like that, rather than an issue with the device or drivers. Check the cable is plugged in securely etc.
