Webclient - directory unavailable

I have a problem with accessing shows on a NAS through the web client: I am storing older content on a NAS share. I have mapped two virtual folder(s) TV/Movies to the respective shares using either the device name or IP adress: Neither works. I have also faked it as a local folder into c:\something using symlinks. Access works through the native NPVR client software, but not through the web client on the same machine or any other. The result is always the same: "directory unavailable"

I am positive that the setup has previously worked (windows 10, now on some creators update....1709/16299.125), but I am unaware of what has caused the current problem.

It is the NextPVR Recording Service that is attempting to access the NAS when you use the web client. The NextPVR Recording Service runs under the System user account. It may be that the System user account does not have permissions on your NAS. You can alter the user account for the NextPVR Recording Service to use your "normal" logon account ... http://www.thewindowsclub.com/open-windows-services

thanks. That solved it. I was under the impression that it had to be some permissions issue, but couldn't quite figure out exactly.
