Hi,

I'm using a TBS6522 Multi-standard Dual Tuner PCI-E card but NPVR is not detecting the DVB-T tuner in Settings > Devices.

Re-installing makes no difference.

The tuner card has a "change mode tool" that sets each tuner - and at first they were both set to DVBS, so could it be something to do with that?
Maybe I need to force NPVR to re-detect the tuners?

Thanks

Please see attached screenshots.

This is the tuner card: https://www.tbsdtv.com/products/tbs6522_..._card.html

My suggestion would be to tick the Enabled box in the device settings, close NextPVR and reboot .. http://www.nextpvr.com/nwiki/pmwiki.php?...etupDialog ... my understanding is that NextPVR asks Windows for a list of devices every time that you go into NextPVR Settings --> Devices ... I dunno why that process is not working here.

It might be worth running filtercheck.exe in the npvr executable directory and post the resultant text file so we (well sub) can see what the driver/windows is reporting.

I'd like to see that filtercheck log.

Also, post the npvr.log after viewing the Settings->Device screen.

I think it may be related to the fact you already had the device there as DVB-S. ie, a device wouldn't normally change types. This TBS utility to change the mode is very proprietary. Normally if a device supports multiple standards, like DVB-T/DVB-S/DVB-C, the driver would publish all those capabilities at the same time, and you'd see three entries listed on the Settings->Devices screen.

I suspect if you right click the device, and select 'Delete', then restart the app and go back to the Settings->Devices screen, allowing it to redetect the new device, it'll show up.

Thank you, that appears to have worked! Smile

Yeah, the change mode thing seems quite klunky and unneccessary to me.

I used to use a BlackGold dual tuner that was more straighforward but I lost the drivers and the company seems dead now. Drivers last updated 2014 and downloads are broken. The tuners are still being sold though ... Rolleyes
